About Holy Cross Primary School

Holy Cross Primary School, Glendale offers students the highest quality education within the context of a caring Catholic community.

The school community strives to cater for the goals and aspirations of all students and welcomes the input of its students, parents and friends, and values the connections shared with the school’s parish and broader community.

Being a small school there is a strong sense of belonging and working together, and the school recognises its role in developing students who will enter the world as adults who need to be independent thinkers and have the capacity to work through the challenges that they will face.

Creative and performing arts are a significant part of the cultural life at Holy Cross. A wide range of programs are offered to students to express their creative abilities and talents through music, drama, dance and visual arts. Students can audition for ASPIRE, receive keyboard lessons, join the school choir, enter art competitions and perform in the annual school musical.

Holy Cross students are also involved in learning activities that lie beyond the school grounds including interschool sporting competitions, debating, the Premier's Reading Challenge and other academic competitions.

Holy Cross is a well-designed school featuring state-of-the-art facilities and modern technology including an excellent library and computer lab and access to technology in every classroom including SMART Boards, iPads and wireless networking.

The Visual Arts Centre provides a unique working space for students to design, create and construct artworks of various mediums and features open-ended areas including a tinker workbench, an invitation to draw, puppetry and theatre, socio-dramatic props and furnishings and a nature area complete with magnifying glasses and microscopes. These flexible and intentionally developed learning environments encourage innovative thinking and collaboration and allow students to increase readiness for and engagement in learning.

St Nicholas OOSH Glendale provides before and after school care and vacation care in a fun, safe, supportive and inclusive environment onsite at John Lavery Hall next to Holy Cross Primary School, where children can play, explore, be creative and use their imagination.

Students of Holy Cross Primary School, Glendale are encouraged to continue their Catholic education by attending St Paul's Catholic College, Booragul.
