The Catholic Schools Office provides support to the Head of Schools in the formation and implementation of the strategic direction of the system, in the leadership and management of schools, and in the implementation of the policies and priorities of the Bishop of the Maitland-Newcastle Diocese.
Key accountabilities include:
- Strategic planning
- Leadership formation
- School improvement
- School evaluation and development
- Support, guidance and direction to Principals and school leadership teams
- School registration and accreditation
- Liaison with government and education authorities
- Parent/carer liaison
- Policy development
- Co-ordination of creative and performing arts initiatives
