Students at St Joseph’s Primary School Merriwa are leading the way in sustainability through the school’s Earthwise Academy. Working together, students care for vegetable gardens, maintain worm farms, create habitats for local wildlife and lead recycling initiatives that support the wider school community.
Through hands-on learning experiences, students explore important environmental topics including water conservation, energy use and biodiversity, discovering how small, everyday actions can make a meaningful difference.
