Primary Swimming | Catholic Schools Maitland-Newcastle

Our swimming pathway began back in February with regional and Diocesan Swimming Championships. A stand out at the Diocesan event was Isabel Smith from St James Primary School, Kotara South who broke 2 Diocesan records.
Isabel’s record in the 11yrs 50m freestyle had stood for 14 yrs with Isabel swimming a time of 30.92. She also broke the record in the 50 fly with a time of 34.76.

NSW Polding Swimming Championships saw our best catholic swimmers shine at Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre. Our team of over 70 represented their school and Diocese proudly with many PBs swum and an outstanding 26 swimmers qualifying to compete at the NSWPSSA. The Polding results are below:

The 26 outstanding young swimmers represented Polding at the NSWPSSA Swimming Championships at Sydney Olympic Park week 2 of this term.. As this is the best swimmers in NSW it is very impressive to make a final at this event Saxon Neville – St Mary’s Warners Bay medalled & qualified for the National Sport Australia Swimming Championships.
