Trinity Catholic College, Adamstown, has proudly celebrated its inaugural Year 12 graduating cohort, marking the final milestone in the College’s transition to a complete Years 7-12 secondary school.
It’s an achievement that represents the culmination of a vision first shared in 2024, when St Pius X High School became Trinity Catholic College. It reflects months of planning, preparation, investment and commitment to ensuring students have access to the programs, facilities and opportunities needed to successfully complete their secondary education.
More than simply the first students to graduate from Trinity Catholic College, this cohort of 32 young people has played a pivotal role in shaping the College’s identity. As pioneers of this new chapter, they have helped establish the traditions, culture, expectations and spirit that will guide future generations of students.
Celebrating their historic milestone, students were joined by Bishop Michael Kennedy, Father Greg, and Father Joseph, members of the Catholic Schools and Diocesan Offices, their families and friends to recognise their individual achievements and share in their journey to finish their final moments on the campus they know and love.
Guest speaker Mark Wells, former St Pius X High School (now Trinity Catholic College) student and Australian musician and song writer, shared his inspiring story of perseverance and resilience that led him to become the musician he dreamed of and build the life that was never promised to him. Picking up the guitar at eight years old, overcoming cystic-fibrosis, watching his friends complete Year 12 whilst he stayed behind to do it all again and travelling the world, Mark’s story reinforced the message that setbacks and unexpected detours can often lead to opportunities beyond what we imagine.
“Don’t place limits on yourself and don’t accept the limits that others place on you. Dream you must, however big or however small. You’ll get to where you’re going.”
His words resonated deeply with a cohort that chose an uncharted path and, in doing so, created a legacy for those who will come after them.
Stephen Dunn, Assistant Principal, reflected on the privilege of watching these students grow from their first days in Year 7 six years ago to becoming the College’s first Year 12 graduating class.
He spoke of the many moments that demonstrated the cohort’s resilience, determination and commitment to achieving their goals, highlighting how they embraced challenges, thrived through adversity and consistently supported one another throughout their journey.
“You’ve left a legacy of hard work, commitment and, above all, a reminder to enjoy each moment. Remember that faith, hope and love will guide your way,” said Stephen Dunn, Assistant Principal.
The Trinity Catholic College Class of 2026 leaves behind a legacy built on courage, leadership and a willingness to embrace change. Supported every step of the way by a school community committed to providing the right support at the right time, these students have been encouraged to pursue their aspirations with confidence and purpose.
In the words of graduating student Tyler, “when we strive to become better than we are, everything around us becomes better to.”
As the inaugural Year 12 graduating cohort, these students have helped shape the future of Trinity Catholic College, Adamstown. Their courage, commitment and leadership have created a legacy to be proud of and inspired the generations of students who will follow.
Congratulations to the Trinity Catholic College Class of 2026. Your story will forever be part of the College’s history.
