Congratulations to all the schools who performed in this year’s Celebrate! Choirs at the Civic. Hosted by Aspire VoiceWorx, the diocesan vocal program, Celebrate! Choirs at the Civic is our annual primary school choral showcase. More than 760 students took to the stage at the Civic Theatre, sharing an uplifting evening of music with family, friends and the wider community.
The program featured a diverse repertoire- from traditional choral works and, to music from film and musical theatre, as well as a variety of contemporary favourites including songs by ABBA, Empire of the Sun, Taylor Swift and Elton John. The variety of performances highlighted the enthusiasm, dedication and musical growth of students across our diocesan schools.
The evening was a wonderful celebration of our students’ God-given talents and the important role that music and the Arts continue to play in enriching our school communities. It was inspiring to see so many young people confidently sharing their talents through performance.
Thank you to the teachers, school staff and leaders whose ongoing commitment and support made this event possible. Your encouragement provides students with meaningful opportunities to grow in confidence, creativity and collaboration through the Arts.

Feedback:
“Each year, I think we can hear and see choirs developing in confidence and performance skills. It’s a really good annual goal, and inspires our choirs to grow”
“I love that our students are able to experience the rollercoaster of a performance – from nervousness, worrying, rehearsing and the pride and enthusiasm afterwards, this opportunity has allowed many of our students who normally wouldn’t have this opportunity a chance to experience something remarkable”
“Students and parents loved it. One of our students sang all the way home in the bus from sound check, and sung their heart out last night”
“Oh! It was so awesome!” (Year 2 performer)
