Celebrating the Outstanding Achievements of Our HSC Students

The release of HSC results yesterday marks a moment of celebration for students across the Catholic Schools of Maitland-Newcastle. We are incredibly proud of their dedication, perseverance, and the commitment they have shown over the past years. This milestone marks not only the culmination of their hard work but also the beginning of exciting new pathways ahead. Congratulations to the families, teachers, and school communities who have supported them every step of the way.

Special recognition goes to Zoe Beks from St Francis Xavier’s College, Hamilton, and Madison McCosker from All Saints’ College, Maitland, who have both been named on the Top Achievers List.

Zoe Beks achieved outstanding results in Earth and Environmental Science, placing 6th in the State, and also appeared on the Distinguished Achievers List for Biology, Earth and Environmental Science, and Studies of Religion II. Zoe has attained an impressive ATAR of 97.95, reflecting her dedication and academic excellence.

Madison McCosker has been recognised not only on the Top Achievers List but also as an All-Round Achiever, highlighting her versatility and exceptional commitment to learning. She achieved an ATAR of 97.85, was named Dux of the College, and earned a mark of 100 in Drama, earning a place on the Distinguished Achievers List.

We also celebrate Oliver Beath from St Mary’s Catholic College, Gateshead for his remarkable performance as an All-Round Achiever, achieving an exceptional ATAR of 98.1. Oliver’s results reflect a disciplined and consistent approach to learning across all subjects, including outstanding performance in Extension courses such as Mathematics Extension 1, where he achieved a score of 99.

These achievements are a testament to the talent, perseverance and determination of our students and we congratulate them on reaching this significant milestone in their academic journeys.
