DioSounds Wrap Up 2026

12th June, 2026

Excellence and talent were on show as students from diocesan secondary schools took to the Civic Theatre stage for DioSounds 2026 – a music showcase and initiative of the diocesan secondary music teachers. The theme for this year was Welcome Home, reflecting this year’s Catholic Schools Week theme of “a home for all”.

The music showcase featured many styles and ensembles – rock bands, art music, stage bands, ensembles, choirs, music theatre, jazz, RNB, pop, folk and more!  Repertoire was by a variety of artists including Bruno Mars, Tina Turner, Peter Gabriel, Oasis and Daft Punk.

New to the DioSounds program was a diocesan art installation. Created collaboratively by all 13 secondary schools across the diocese, this installation complemented the DioSounds theme this year. Curated and assembled by Aspire, the work is exhibited within the Civic Theatre precinct as a celebration of the spirit of belonging which is at the heart of DioSounds 2026.

Congratulations to students and teachers for a stellar showcase of Creative Arts.
