Catholic Religious Literacy testing takes place annually across all schools within the Catholic Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle. These tests focus on students’ knowledge and understanding of key concepts that are addressed in the Religious Education curriculum, the achievement of the outcomes set out in the diocesan Religion courses, and the ability of students to communicate this knowledge and understanding about the Catholic tradition.
Each year special diocesan awards are presented to the students who are first in the diocese in the Religious literacy tests in Years 6, 8 and 10. These students have demonstrated an excellent level of achievement.
