Catholic Schools across the Diocese came together for two action-packed Basketball Gala Days, with students showcasing their skill, determination and teamwork on the court. Across the Year 7/8 and Year 9/10 divisions, teams battled it out in a fantastic display of competitive basketball, sportsmanship and school spirit, with four teams earning the chance to represent the Diocese at the upcoming Championships in Penrith.
The Girls Diocesan Basketball Gala Day showcased outstanding talent, competitive spirit and sportsmanship across both divisions.
Year 7/8 Girls Final: St Joseph’s College, Lochinvar drew with Trinity Catholic College, Adamstown 31–31.
Year 9/10 Girls Final: All Saints College, Maitland secured a 27–21 victory over St Joseph’s College, Lochinvar.
The Boys Diocesan Basketball Gala Day also featured exciting competition and impressive athleticism across both age groups.
Year 7/8 Boys Final: St Bede’s Catholic College, Chisholm overcame St Joseph’s College, Lochinvar in a tightly contested match securing a 47–40 win.
Year 9/10 Boys Final: San Clemente Catholic College, Mayfield defeated Trinity Catholic College, Adamstown 35–27.
