St John's Primary School, Lambton is a single stream community encompassing Kindergarten to Year 6.

St John’s promotes academic excellence in a supportive and safe environment, encouraging all students to pursue the highest level of achievement. Staff at St John’s are dedicated to achieving the highest standards possible, based on reflective practice, data driven research and evidence-based teaching pedagogies. Learning at St John’s focuses on student-centred problem solving, critical thinking, creativity and innovation. Learning is integrated and student-centred, as students work and communicate collaboratively across contexts and technologies.

St John’s strives to meet the needs of all children, providing a quality academic curriculum that develops the uniqueness and potential of each student. All classrooms at St John’s contain modern facilities including the latest print and digital teaching resources, interactive whiteboards, furnishings and air-conditioning, allowing students to incorporate creative and digital technologies into their learning.

Students have ready access to a myriad of facilities including 12 hectares of parkland, recreational equipment, tennis courts, soccer fields, a Library and an olympic swimming and diving pool.

St John’s offers a range of sports across the internal and external sporting program, allowing students to compete at representative levels in swimming, athletics, cross country, netball, tennis, soccer, rugby league, rugby union, AFL, touch football, hockey, basketball and softball. Students can also participate in organised programs such as gymnastics, swimming lessons, local weekly netball and soccer competitions, as well as the school developed ‘Harmony Games’ and skill-based clinics that allow them to enhance their skill development and good sportsmanship.

St John’s offers a range of sports both internally and externally. Students can compete at representative level in swimming, athletics, cross country, netball, tennis, golf, diving, soccer, rugby league, rugby union, AFL, touch football, hockey, basketball and softball. Participation in organised programs such as gymnastics, swimming lessons, dance programs, local weekly netball and soccer competitions, as well as school developed ‘Harmony Games’ and skill-based clinics, allow students to enhance skill development and good sportsmanship.

Students from St John’s participate in a multitude of learning experiences and opportunities in the area of Creative Arts. Students engage in a comprehensive music, dance and drama program on a weekly basis. This program is tailored to the needs and interests of each class, while delivering the required curriculum content and outcomes.

The school community recognises that parents are the first educators of their children and assists families in the development of their children, with the St John's Parents and Friends Association seen as an integral component of the school's structure.

St John’s also takes action to reduce its environmental footprint, working to promote positive environmental initiatives such as planting a school garden, educating the school community on reducing consumption, monitoring the school’s waste and increasing recycling initiatives.

St Nicholas OOSH Lambton provides before and after school care in a fun, safe, supportive and inclusive environment onsite at St John’s Primary School, where children can play, explore, be creative and use their imagination.

Students of St John's Primary School, Lambton are encouraged to continue their Catholic education by attending St Pius X High School, Adamstown.
